Schiff claims to be a value investor.  The funny thing about that is he recommends something that has no real value - GOLD! 

In addition, unlike model value investors, Schiff does not seem to focus much on risk mitigation. Finally, Schiff's investment strategy is buy-and-hold. What a disaster.
